My favorite look was Jennifer Lawrence in a platinum, diamond and “backlace” with a lovely strapless red gown. She looked flawless even after stumbling on the red carpet for the second Oscar Slip in a row. The necklace with carved rock crystal and 100 carats of diamonds valued at $2 million, stud earrings in platinum with 10 carats in diamonds, and a ring set in platinum with fancy-color diamonds valued at $1 million.

Eve’s Holiday Party Provides Gifts and Giving
Sat Dec 7, 2013 from noon to 6 pm [RSVP Online | Get Directions]
There is no better way to celebrate the joy of giving than by helping those in need. Eve J. Alfillé Gallery and Studio is contributing to the holiday spirit by putting unique fine art jewelry to use in the battle against Parkinson’s Disease.
According to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Parkinson’s Disease affects an estimated five million people worldwide. The neurological disorder affects the brain in a way that can impact movement, memory, and even mood, and an estimated 60,000 people will be diagnosed in the United States this year alone. The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research was founded to provide support for the study of Parkinson’s Disease, and has provided $375 million to the goal of finding a cure.
On December 7th, Eve J. Alfillé Gallery and Studio will host a fundraiser from noon to 6pm to help benefit the foundation. Ten percent of sales from the fundraiser will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, and Make It Better magazine has partnered with the gallery to provide even more help for the research of Parkinson’s. Every subscription to Make It Better’s email newsletter at the fundraiser will generate five dollars for the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
With the holidays so close, Eve’s Holiday Party provides beautifully crafted, unique gifts that will make a difference to the receiver and those affected by Parkinson’s Disease. In addition to refreshments, wine, and champagne, two jewelry pieces will be raffled – one, a piece of original Eve Alfillé jewelry, the other an art glass piece hand-designed by Eve’s daughter Diane Alfillé.
And for those who can’t attend the Holiday Party, Eve J. Alfillé Gallery and Studio will be open the last two Sundays before Christmas from 1 – 5pm, allowing everyone the opportunity to get the perfect holiday gift for themselves or their loved ones.
Our work is hand made, one at a time, by Eve and her talented staff of assistants & metal smiths.
Together, we can build a beautiful, artistic work of wearable art that you can pass down through the generations. (Most of our treasures have room to be inscribed with a personal message).
Call (847) 869-7920 and schedule your meeting with Eve to discuss a custom treasure of your own.
“Smoldering” earrings from artist Eve J. Alfillé’s newest jewelry design series, “Homage to Gustav Klimt” are one of Diane Alfillé’s favorite pieces to make their debut in this collection that was unveiled at the opening party October 19th (the 26th anniversary of the Gallery).
Eve tells us that they derive their power from the ingenious balance of cool & hot.
Hot are the sinuous 22 karat gold Klimt inspired tops with their delicate platinum edging: Female Curves alert! The cool are the amazing rose-cut yellow diamond slices like windows on the world of possibilities. Edged in the tiniest champagne diamonds, they soon give way to the playfulness of diamond briolettes. One is hot (orange) one is cool (grey-green). And depending on you, cool or hot is how you will look wearing these earrings, just add attitude! These will be your signature earrings, no one else will have them!
The yellow diamond slices are 1.40 carats together, with 40 champagne diamonds totaling 0.20 carats, pavé-set in oxidized sterling silver, 2 fancy colored diamond briolettes which together weigh 0.90 carats are suspended from platinum filaments at the bottom of the earrings. The sensual curvy 18 karat gold & platinum tops each hold a single gemstone, one is a tiny Montana river sapphire of grey-green, and the other has a tiny, sizzling orange mandarin garnet. They truly are smoldering!
