October 20, 2012 from noon – 6 pm
Eve J. Alfillé is celebrating 25 years since opening the Eve J Alfille Gallery & Studio in Evanston, IL, in October 1987.
Please join us Saturday, October 20th, 2012 from noon to 6pm, as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Eve’s Gallery!
We are having a party, co-hosted by Chicago Magazine, with live musical performances from students and faculty of Music Institute of Chicago, wine and sweet treats from Donna Goodman Potent Potables. Eve is working on new versions of her awesome past works for her new “Deja Vu” series to celebrate the past 25 years and move on to the next!
Alfille’s inspirations are singular in concept and rich in history as they are influenced by her European heritage, multilingual background, her work in archeology, as well as her formal education in business, historical linguistics and medieval poetry. She recalls how each became a stepping stone to finding her true life’s work. As an educator, field archaeologist and large metal sculptor, she found her true passion in smaller scale sculpture that is more intimate and
personal, the design and creation of fine jewelry.
